Lucrezia Galai

I am a student at the University of Udine attending the first year of the Public Relations course. I hold a diploma in graphic design achieved at Liceo Artistico G. Sello in Udine in 2021. I am 23 years old and live in Remanzacco, in the province of Udine.

In my spare time I like to listen to music, read and watch movies and TV series. I do not have a favorite music genre, I tend to listen to a little bit of everything. Regarding books, however, my favorite genres are thrillers and romance. The latter is a genre I have only recently begun to enjoy, but I got hooked on it right away.

I really like oriental foods such as sushi, spring rolls, gyoza or ramen. I discovered the latter relatively recently, but I liked it right away. My favorite thing about ramen is that it has the advantage of being able to be made up of the ingredients you enjoy the most, so it can become an opportunity to vary your diet.

My project

Starting from my passion for oriental foods and, in particular, ramen, I chose to create a site for a hypothetical ramen restaurant.

To create the site I was inspired by the style of Studio Ghibli with colorful lanterns, warm colors, lots of nature and magic at every corner. I decided to name the restaurant “Locanda delle Nebbie” to keep the Studio Ghibli style. The choice of the name is also related to how I imagined this place, that is, as a small restaurant where upon entering you travel to a parallel dimension made of magic, nature and peace, but above all a place that allows you to travel to Japan as soon as you cross its doorway.

I created the logo using Figma.
As a whole, it is designed to recall a typical Japanese building, this one, in particular, through the inclusion at the top of the logo of the traditional shape used in Japan for the roofs of buildings. In the middle, I placed the tipical bowl used for eating ramen, so as to recall the restaurant’s main dish. From the bowl, a cloud emerges, which in shape, is related to fog, so as to recall the name of the risotrante, Locanda delle Nebbie, while in color it recalls the one typical of noodles used as one of the main ingredients of ramen.
